Clients can retain certificates if they wish but are encouraged to use our Nominee Service to reduce the burden of administration on themselves.

Where assets are held in the Nominee Service a number of protections are in place:

• Our Nominee Company is a separately incorporated legal entity, which does not form part of our balance sheet. As such, assets are fully 'ring fenced'.
• Cash deposits are held with high-quality retail banks or banks with an A+ or better credit rating.
• Where assets are held with third-party sub-custody agents, we regularly monitor their credit worthiness and performance.
• Regular external and internal compliance and audit checks are undertaken.
• All operations staff are separated from dealing staff and have reporting lines which avoid conflicts of interest.

The Nominee Service is compulsory for clients wishing to use the Discretionary Service or our Capital Gains Tax reporting service.
